Seed oils are bad for you is something Dr. Martin has said for decades… and another study has come out to confirm this. The study shows how polyunsaturated seed oils disrupt your microbiome.
When Dr. Martin refers to crappy carbohydrates, he means seed oils and they’re found in nearly all processed foods. Often marketed as vegetable oils… canola, grapeseed, corn, cottonseed, safflower, sunflower, rice bran, soy etc. all cause an inflammatory response in your body, which is bad.
Join Dr. Martin as he shares the dangers of seed oils in today’s episode!
Dr. Martin shares two interesting studies on non-alcoholic fatty liver. The first says that 4 decades of research has left big pharma without a medication for it. The second says that a specific blend of probiotics can help reverse liver damage.
If you’ve followed Dr. Martin, you know how much he loves probiotics. He’s absolutely thrilled to hear that probiotics can help repair a damaged liver!
Listen to today’s episode to learn why this news is so important!
Three studies came out in the last week about beta cells. Beta cells are inside the pancreas and they release insulin into the bloodstream.
Old adage says use it or lose it, but in the case of your pancreas, the more you use it, the more you lose it. Dr. Martin pontificates on these new studies and shares how to keep your pancreas healthy!
Two recent articles about the liver have piqued Dr. Martin’s interest, and in particular one about fatty liver in American teenagers. The cross-sectional study is showing that 74% of teens have some form of fatty liver.

For decades now, Dr. Martin has been challenging the mainstream thinking when it comes to health & wellness. He has remained consistent in his teaching and often gets flack for not going along with the current narrative.
According to an article Dr. Martin recently read, 25% of North Americans are deficient in iron. Surprisingly, there’s more talk today about too much iron than being deficient in the mineral.
When you consider the North American diet, consisting primarily of crappy carbs and sugars, it’s no wonder 1 in 4 people are deficient. Many women are also deficient in iron because of heavy bleeding from their menses.
Join Dr. Martin in today’s episode as he talks about the major deficiencies found in our diet and why they exist.
In part 1 of this series, Dr. Martin looked at obvious signs you have a sluggish thyroid. In today’s episode, he looks at secondary signs that may be contributing factors.
Dr. Martin has often called the thyroid a puppet as it reacts to other things happening in the body. Doctors will often dismiss symptoms a woman is having because their test results come back as normal.
Join Dr. Martin as he sheds light on this condition affecting millions of women!
Your thyroid is like the gas pedal in your car. Push harder and you go faster. Take your foot off the pedal and you slow down. For many women, it’s like their car is stuck in neutral. Their thyroid has become sluggish almost always because of horror-mones.
In today’s episode, Dr. Martin looks at some obvious signs that you have a sluggish thyroid. When a woman starts losing her hair, it’s a sure-tell sign the thyroid is involved. Same goes with weak, brittle nails. There’s a good chance you have a sluggish thyroid!

A recent study asked about the best sunscreen you can use… and the answer may surprise you! It’s not any sunscreen or oils, or even covering up, it’s in fact vitamin D!
Dr. Martin has always said you’re a human solar panel and that every cell has a little antenna looking for sunlight. What surprised Dr. Martin about this study, is that when the sun hits your skin, it stimulates the microbiome. This is another major discovery!
Join Dr. Martin in today’s episode to learn how vitamin D and the microbiome are influenced by the sun!
Dr. Martin reviews an article about vitamin D that was recently published in the Toronto Star. The article says hospitals are seeing more vitamin D toxicity than ever before.
The article is misleading because those who got toxic were taking 50,000 IUs daily. No one should be taking such high concentrations unless for short-term therapeutic use. Since vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin it will accumulate in the body, but rarely does it turn toxic.
Dr. Martin also teaches on vitamin D and explains why it consistently gets negative reviews in today’s episode!
Dr. Martin shares a groundbreaking study out of the University of Helsinki in Finland. The study has found that a single course of antibiotics affects the gut microbiome of children.
The first line of the study says that fungus, candida, and yeast was growing in the microbiome of kids compared to the control group who had never taken antibiotics.
This discovery may be groundbreaking to the medical community, but Dr. Martin has been teaching this for years. He’s excited the results are seeing some ink and thinks every physician ought to get a copy of this study.

Dr. Martin has a love/hate relationship with aspirin! He loves it for acute conditions like if someone is having a stroke, but not for long-term use.
Aspirin was once recommended by doctors to reduce strokes as it's an anti-clotting medication. But over the last 20 years, it’s been discovered that the benefits of aspirin are far outweighed by the risk of taking aspirin.
Join Dr. Martin in today’s episode to learn why taking aspirin daily may cause more harm than good!
Dr. Martin looks at a recent exhaustive study showing a 60% reduction in cancer. The study says you’ll lower your risk of cancer if you’re taking high doses of vitamin D, omega-3, and doing strengthening exercises.
This trifecta is something Dr. Martin has been preaching for years. Join him in today’s episode and learn why this trio is so effective in promoting wellness!
Dr. Martin shares two studies that confirm something he’s been saying for a long time… that fibre is overrated!
The first study shows that insoluble fibre in particular feeds your bad bacteria, and that’s not good. The second study goes along with the first showing that fibre can actually help grow tumours. Again, not good!
Join Dr. Martin in today’s episode to understand why these studies are significant!
Dr. Martin looks at a Harvard study from 1997 that was swept under the rug. The study concluded that people with the highest triglycerides and the lowest HDL are 16 times more likely to die of heart disease!
Cardiologists are taught to look for total cholesterol and LDL and they don't look at triglycerides the way they should. Dr. Martin has been screaming about this study for decades and thinks it needs to be revived.

Dr. Martin says if vitamin D was a pharmaceutical it would have won a Nobel prize, but because it’s a vitamin, there’s no money in it. If researchers would give it a chance they’d see how essential vitamin D is to every organ in our bodies!
