A recent study has identified nearly 300 chemicals, many in consumer products, that could increase the risk of breast cancer. This isn’t anything new and is just confirming what we already know.

Dr. Martin says we live in a completely different world with estrogen coming out of both ears! Estrogen is a growth hormone that makes a woman, a woman, and it also makes a man a woman too. Oftentimes men have more estrogen than women!

Join Dr. Martin in today’s episode as he teaches on the connection between chemicals and estrogen.

A1C is a blood test you can get done to see the progression of atherosclerosis, the buildup of plaque in your blood vessels. The higher the number, the more plaque you have.

If someone has a high A1C, doctors almost always attribute it to high cholesterol, when it’s actually blood sugar. A1C is glycated hemoglobin, and it shows the average glucose (sugar) that’s attached to the hemoglobin.

Dr. Martin says the testing of A1C is a very significant blood test as it shows if you’re on the road to diabetes or not. Join us in today’s episode, to learn why Dr. Martin loves A1C.

The vast majority of people in North America have extremely low levels of cholesterol. Contrary to what your doctor or cardiologist says, you actually want to increase your cholesterol.

Dr. Martin asks the question of why people are trying to lower their LDL when your body needs cholesterol. Your brain is made up of cholesterol. Every cell in your body has cholesterol.

Join Dr. Martin to learn all about cholesterol in today’s episode!

Not a day goes by that Dr. Martin isn’t asked questions concerning red meat. Red meat is the bad guy and you will be vilified if you try to defend it.

In today’s episode, Dr. Martin discusses a study out of California saying that your microbiome needs B12 just as much as you do. Your microbiome is made up of trillions of bacteria, good and bad, and researchers are showing how your good bacteria needs vitamin B12 to flourish.

Join Dr. Martin as he teaches about B12 and why red meat is essential for a healthy microbiome!

An interesting study out of Boston Medical Center is showing how 50% of cancer patients were obese and 30% were already diabetics. The study shows how cancer cells and fat cells don’t like each other, or as Dr. Martin says, they’re ‘frenemies’.

Frenemies are people who are friends but they really can’t stand each other. In this study, it was shown how the cells communicate, and how fat cells took over fat cells helping them to spread like wildfire.

Join Dr. Martin to unpack this fascinating study that should be all over the news!

When Dr. Martin wrote The Metabolic Reset, his primary goal was not to fix obesity, but to fix insulin resistance. If you fix insulin resistance, you fix the bigger problem!

The problem is us. It’s the food we eat and that has sent our diets to “H-E double hockey sticks” as Dr. Martin likes to say! We have seen a massive increase in non-viral, non-bacterial disorders in the last 50 years. The elephant in the room is food!

Join Dr. Martin as he discusses obesity and how to change our diets by fixing insulin resistance!

There are no two countries that spend more on healthcare than Canada and the United States. The US per capita is number one and we're number two. Despite that, only 12% of the population is considered healthy!

Dr. Martin discusses type II diabetes and how healthcare is more interested in managing symptoms than actually fixing them. Instead of getting to the root of the problem, we give out ‘magic pills’ to make the symptoms go away.

Don’t miss this episode where Dr. Martin brings you the news behind the news on how diabetes is an epidemic in North America!

Join Dr. Martin as he teaches about leaky gut and autoimmune in today’s episode!

In Dr. Martin’s experience, the moment the word ‘gut’ is used, 99% of people respond that they don’t have digestive symptoms. But what people don’t realize is that disease really does start in the gut, and this includes autoimmune disorders.

There is a continuous battle going on in our gut with our good bacteria and the bad. Dr. Martin discusses this and shares what you can do to fix your gut!

Saturated fat has been given a bad rap over the years. In today’s episode, Dr. Martin teaches on fats and why saturated fat is superior.

Dr. Martin makes the point that if saturated fat is bad for you, then why is mommy’s breast milk made up of 50% saturated fats? It was in the 1960s that baby formula became popular, and eventually even medicine admitted there’s nothing like breast milk.

So the question is, how can saturated fat be bad for you when it’s good for the baby? Dr. Martin answers this question and more.

Mexico has a huge problem with what Dr. Martin calls diabesity. Basically you’re pre-diabetic and already on the road to destruction.

A recent headline asked what Mexico knew that we didn’t. This comes after the country seized 380,000 boxes of Kellogg’s cereals. The reason? The boxes featured cartoons designed to lure children into eating the cereal. It’s illegal to do that in Mexico!

Join Dr. Martin in today’s episode where he talks about blood sugar and the gut. He also discusses a study on the H. pylori bacteria.

Researchers are pretty certain they’ve found the cause of multiple sclerosis. MS is an autoimmune disorder and it's much more common today than it ever used to be.

The researchers have shown that Epstein-Barr, a common type of the herpes virus, is what triggers MS. The virus essentially primes the immune system to start attacking the body’s nervous system.

The herpes virus is latent in your system, meaning it’s dormant, and it will only raise its ugly head when your immune system is not working properly. In today’s episode, Dr. Martin provides insight as to why the Epstein-Barr virus can be activated in the first place.

In the last episode, Dr. Martin talked about oxalates and how they are the main cause of kidney stones. Oxalates also cause digestive issues as they can irritate your gut.

We all suffer digestive issues from time to time, but if you’re always struggling with IBS and other stomach problems, you may have diverticulosis. It’s a condition where you develop small pouches in the transverse colon of the gut and they cause bloating, pain and discomfort. It can become a very dangerous situation that will put you in the hospital.

Dr. Martin also discusses what kills your gut. Without fail, again and again, the number one thing on the hit parade for digestive issues is antibiotics! They’ll save your life, but the overuse of them sets you up for a lifetime of digestive problems.

Join Dr. Martin in today’s episode to learn how you can improve your gut health.

Jan 24, 2022

A new study has come out on oxalates, the tiny molecules that bind themselves to calcium. The study says, more than anything else, oxalates are the root cause of kidney stones.

Dr. Martin is big on transport systems and the trucks on the highways of your blood vessels. He talks specifically about two “transport companies,” HDL cholesterol and vitamin K2, and how they also take oxalates out of your system.

Listen to today’s episode to learn why calcification is bad, and how putting more trucks on the highways of your blood vessels is good for you!

Dr. Martin talks about a huge announcement made by the CDC in the United States. The CDC director admitted that 75% of all the deaths from the virus occurred in people with four comorbidities. Three out of four deaths, the patients had multiple comorbidities!

This announcement is significant, and it goes along with what Dr. Martin has been saying since day one of the virus. We already know that 88% of the population is metabolically unwell – that’s 9 out of every 10 people!

People are on the broad road to disease and this virus has exposed how unhealthy North Americans really are. Remember, disease doesn’t happen overnight!

What’s worse for your heart? If you had to choose between smoking, cholesterol or obesity, which one would you choose? Most people would pick smoking, but the answer is actually stress!

A recent study out of The Journal of the American Medical Association is saying that stress is the number one most dangerous factor for your heart. When we are stressed, high levels of cortisol start circulating.

Join Dr. Martin in today’s episode as he explains why cortisol plays a huge factor in a diagnosis of heart disease.
