In the third and final part of my series on gut health, I talk about a New York Times article suggesting obesity being partly caused by a microbiome issue.

Your microbiome is the bacteria that live both inside and outside your body.

And, they are critical to your health.

In fact, researchers believe the microbiome is virtually another organ.

A health microbiome helps you...

Break down nutrients

Boost your immune system

Provide nutrients to your cells

Prevent harmful bacteria and viruses from hurting you

Scientists have known for a while that the microbiome of healthy people is different from unhealthy people.

AND...

The microbiome of lean individuals is different from those who are obese.

I also go through the exact questionnaire I use in my clinic for gut health and Leaky Gut Syndrome...

And discuss the role childhood antibiotics have on the adult microbiome and why it causes...

Allergies

Asthma

Obesity

Type 1 Diabetes

Oct 31, 2019

In part 1 I talked about the lifestyle factors that directly affects the health of your gut.

In this podcast, I discuss the consequences of Leaky Gut Syndrome.

Now, here's something surprising...

Most people with Leaky Gut Syndrome have NO digestive symptoms whatsoever.

But, they do have OTHER types of symptoms...

Because the gut is connected to EVERY system in the body...

They are definitely getting symptoms somewhere else.

In this episode I talk about many of the top NON-DIGESTIVE symptoms of Leaky Gut Syndrome...

Allergies

Auto-immune diseases (MS, Type-1 Diabetes, Crohn's etc...)

Arthritis

Irritable Bowel Syndrome and SIBO

ADD/ADHD

Osteoporosis

Cardiovascular

Depression

Dementia and Alzheimer's

Skin (Psoriasis, acne, eczema etc...)

Metabolic Syndrome

As you can see ...

Leaky Gut Syndrome can cause serious health issues.

Oct 24, 2019

Your gut ultimately decides how healthy you are.

And...

Your gut  is connected to EVERY system  in your body, even your BRAIN and HEART.

If you're not well or feeling fantastic...then the gut is definitely one place to start.

In part 1 of a 3 part series on gut health I talk about the lifestyle factors that DIRECTLY affects the health of our gut.

I discuss

Gluten

Seed oils

Sugars

Food additives

Stress

Sedentary lifestyle

Sleep

If you want to learn more about the importance of gut health and WHY things go bad...

Then you don't want to miss this episode.

Oct 18, 2019

What are the BIG causes of Alzheimer's?

Is it...genetics?

Well...

A new study shows it's mostly caused by lifestyle factors like...

Diet

Stress

Inactivity

In this episode we talk about the new study and what you can do to protect your brain as you age.

Oct 10, 2019

As you may know...

A person doesn't go to bed healthy tonight, and wake up with a disease tomorrow.

It doesn't work that way. The path to disease can take months, years, or even decades.

Also...

The body will give you clues as you move away from health towards disease.

In this podcast...

We talk about the FOUR stages from health to disease.

Why is that important to know?

Well...

Unless you know exactly where you are at right NOW, it's hard to know how to get to your destination.

When you know what stage you're in...

It's much easier to know the exact steps you need to take to get your health back.

We help you find out where you're at in this episode.

We also talk about what needs to be done in each stage to return to health.

If you're not feeling fantastic then you don't want to miss this episode!

In Tuesday's email I talked about the study comparing eating three times per day compared to six.

The study was done on diabetics and they wanted to know if the amount of meals made a difference.

And...did it ever.

Those that ate three times per day had...

MORE weight loss

LESS hunger

BETTER blood sugars

FEWER cravings

AND they needed less insulin!

In this podcast we talk more about this study.

We share the reasons why everyone should be eating less frequently.

We also talk about the reasons why some can lose weight eating six times per day.

We begin the episode talking with our tin foil hats on (not really) while going over recent data showing how Google is suppressing alternative health information.

And when I say Google is suppressing...I mean they are essentially stopping consumers from reading anything other than the stuff written by hospitals or WebMD.

If you're diabetic, or you have a hard time eating to lose weight...

Then you don't want to miss this episode.

Sep 26, 2019

As you may know

Gut health plays a significant role in many chronic diseases.

The walls of your intestines are the barrier between your blood system and the food you eat. They are supposed to stop junk from getting into the bloodstream.

Candida, parasites, bacteria, viruses, and undigested food should NEVER get into your blood system.

But, they do get into your blood system when you have Leaky Gut Syndrome.

This is why Leaky Gut Syndrome is often called the 'Silent Killer'.

In this podcast I talk about a new study linking autism to gut health, especially the microbiome.

It's a fascinating area of research.

I also talk about the recent study showing how babies born by C-sections have different microbiome than babies born vaginally.

It's a big reason why C-section babies are more prone to getting sick from dangerous hospital bacteria.

If you're interested in gut health then you don't want to miss this episode.

The thyroid is complicated and a major source of frustration for both men and women.

It's a big problem.

It doesn't help that so few doctors know how to properly treat the thyroid.

They also rely too heavily on testing...while almost completely ignoring symptoms.

According to most doctors...

If your lab numbers are good...you're healthy.

Even if you have every symptom.

In this episode I talk about 5 nutrients you need to have a healthy thyroid.

If you're low in any of them...you risk having a sluggish thyroid.

The five nutrients are...

Iodine

Selenium

Zinc

B12

Iron

If you have a sluggish thyroid then you don't want to miss this episode.

Sep 12, 2019

In this podcast I talk about Fibromyalgia.

As you may know...

The direction of our clinic changed drastically when my wife got sick.

One of the conditions she suffered from was Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.

According to a new study...

Fibromyalgia could be caused by low magnesium.

I believe that's only partially true.

There are other deficiencies that cause fibromyalgia as well.

In this episode I talk about low B12, low Vitamin D, and low Omega-3.

I also talk about what I believe the #1 cause of Fibromyalgia is...

Adrenal Dysfunction caused by prolonged excretion of cortisol.

If you're exhausted or you have chronic pain...

You don't want to miss this episode.

A funny thing happened down under...

An Australian study set to show consumption of red meat played a part in depression and anxiety in women.

But...

It turns out...

They found the opposite to be true.

The researchers found there was 50% reduction in depression and anxiety in women who regularly ate red meat.

In this episode I talk about the nutrients found in red meat that help your brain stay healthy.

I talk about B12, cholesterol, choline, DHA, and heme iron.

If you're worried about red meat, or have depression or anxiety...

You don't want to miss this episode!

We just published episode #200!

Let me say this...

We are extremely grateful to all our listeners, and humbled you've allowed us to play a part in your health journey.

Alright...

Did you know that 14% of the population has kidney failure?

And a much higher percentage of people have some form of kidney stress.

For years, doctors have blamed salt  intake or even protein.

But that turned out to be fake news.

In this episode I talk about the effect sugar and high insulin has on kidney health.

I also share 6 hidden signs that could indicate your kidneys are under stress.

They are...

Unexplained fatigue

Edema

Itchy Skin

Rashes

High Blood Pressure

Muscle cramps

There's one thing that still amazes me today...

A majority of people are still deficient in vitamin D...

And most health care providers don't see that as a big deal.

If you've been with us for a while...

Then you know how important vitamin D is to your health.

Research has shown if your blood levels of vitamin D are low...your all-cause mortality is higher.

This means your chance of dying from anything increases when you have low vitamin D.

It's that important.

In this podcast I share with you 5 little known signs of low vitamin D.

I talk about...

Parkinsons

Muscle loss

Inflammation

Low immunity

Multiple Sclerosis

Even though it's summer and the sun is shining...

Most people STILL don't get enough Vitamin D.

Aug 15, 2019

A few years ago, there was an article written in the Los Angeles Times titled...

"Some heart patients do better when the cardiologist is away."

It was based on a study showing certain high-risk heart patients stand a better chance of survival if they go to a teaching hospital when all the cardiologists have left town.

Here's what the study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found:

"the survival rate for high-risk cardiac patients rose 10% when they were admitted to a major teaching hospital on days that a national cardiology meeting was in session."

Here's the thing...

That's a "tremendous reduction in mortality" better than most of the medical interventions that exist to treat these conditions."

Why is that?

In this podcast we talk about 8 heart related things that cardiologists got COMPLETELY WRONG.

There aren't a lot of specialties that have been wrong as many times as cardiology.

And...it's not like they're only wrong about little things.

No, they've been wrong about huge things that have drastically impacted public health.

It seems that every time cardiology associations get behind a topic...they've been wrong.

Every time they get behind a treatment...they've been wrong.

Here's a few things Cardiologists have been dead wrong about.

Cholesterol

Salt

Saturated Fat

Diet

Sugar

Aspirin

High Blood Pressure Treatments

If you're worried about heart health, then don't miss this episode!

There's a fight going on in the nutrition world between meat eaters and non-meat eaters...

And it's getting nasty.

Big food companies are fueling the fire because they've gone all in with their plant based meat products.

Here's a highlight of headlines over the last few months...

Americans need to cut back on meat by 40% otherwise we will run out of food.

The world needs to cut back on meat otherwise the planet will end.

Either way, we're told unless we cut back on meat we're done.

It's hard to take such ridiculous headlines seriously, especially since they're being used to push an agenda.

So, what's the real truth?

We already know most research is bought and paid for by big food or big drug companies.

If doctors and researchers can be so wrong about a little pill like aspirin (everyone was told to take one, now they're saying you better stop), how can they be trusted with something much bigger like meat?

If you've been with us for a while then you know most food studies are garbage. They're based on questionnaires months after the fact.

Most have a hard time remembering what they ate yesterday, yet they're supposed to remember what they ate 6 months ago (and how much!).

With that being said, what should we make of all this fake meat craze going around?

In this episode I talk about the fake meat craze and why it's nothing more than highly processed junk food for vegans and vegetarians.

If you're a vegan or vegetarian, then you're at risk for being deficient in key nutrients. In this episode I talk about those deficiencies and how to fix them.

I also share five signs you're missing KEY nutrients from your diet.

Don't miss this episode!

Here's something to think about...

Even though $$$ is being spent on research...

1 out of 6 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer...

AND...

1 out of 4 Canadian men over the age of 50 will get prostate cancer.

In this podcast we talk about the similarities between breast and prostate cancer.

In fact...both are mainly caused by the same two culprits.

Estrogen dominance and high circulating insulin.

When women have estrogen dominance and high insulin, they're at serious risk of breast cancer.

When men have estrogen dominance and high insulin, they're at serious risk of prostate cancer.

We also talk about the effect estrogen dominance has on testosterone, progesterone, and what you can do about it.

If you want to learn about two of the main causes of breast and prostate cancer...

Then don't miss this episode!

In this episode we talk about what supplements we like, but with a twist...

In some of our webinars, we've talked about the three seeds of disease...

High Circulating Insulin

Free Radical Damage

Leaky Gut Syndrome

We call them the three seeds of disease because...

If you reverse engineer all the top killers (Heart disease, cancer, diabetes, dementia)...

You eventually get to the three seeds.

In this podcast we talk about the supplements we like to help fight the three seeds of disease...

And we also share what supplements we like based on the most common deficiencies we see in our clinic.

If you're wondering about what supplements to take...

Then don't miss this episode

Jul 18, 2019

In this podcast we continue talking about the four culprits...

Homocysteine

Endothelial Dysfunction

Nitric Oxide

Inflammation

More importantly...

We talk about what causes them and how to prevent them from happening in the first place.

Some of the cases we talk about are insulin, free radical damage, low B12, and stress.

If you want to learn more about how to protect your heart then you don't want to miss this episode
